The 2020 Census needs workers to help with the upcoming census. Our area pays some of the highest hourly wages. Great for students, retirees or anyone looking to make some extra cash!
An accurate Census count can help our area by giving us state and federal funding. If you are living in our area make sure you are counted. The 2020 Census is only interested in making sure to have an accurate count so you have nothing to fear by participating.
ACCORDING TO THE US CENSUS, TEXAS RECEIVES OVER $43 BILLION PER YEAR BASED ON DECENNIAL CENSUS DATA. THE PER CAPITA ALLOCATION IS $1,578.
IN 2010 CENSUS, ECTOR COUNTY/CITY OF ODESSA POPULATION WAS 137,130.
IN 2018, ECTOR COUNTY POPULATION HAS GROWN TO 162,124. AN 18.2% GROWTH,
24,994 MORE PEOPLE. IN THE 2020 CENSUS WE HAVE TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY AND ITS IMPACT ON THE COUNT IN THE PERMIAN BASIN.
IT IS VITAL FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO REACH OUT AND COUNT OUR CITIZENS EFFICIENTLY. THE FEDERAL FUNDING ARE DEDICATED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance;
Medicare Part B;
Highway Planning and Construction;
National School Lunch Program;
Title I Grants to Local Education Agencies;
State Children’s Health Insurance Program (S-WIC)
Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers;
Special Education Grants (IDEA);
Head Start/Early Head Start;
Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC);
Section 8 Housing Assistance Parents Program (Project Based);
Health Center Programs (Community, Migrant, Homeless, Public Housing;
Child Care and Development Fund Entitlement;
Foster Care (Title IV-4)
Low Income Home Energy Assistance (UHEAP)
