Search Warrant Leads to Arrest of 2 Subjects with Stolen Property & Narcotics
Odessa Police arrested Nicholas Howell, date of birth 01/10/1993, on 1-19-18 at approximately 1305 hours for Theft of Property “State Jail Felony”. Odessa Police also arrested Joe Ellenburg, date of birth 06/28/1986, on 1-19-18 at approximately 1303 hours for Possession of Methamphetamine “State Jail Felony”.
While patrolling the 2600 block of Newell Road, an OPD officer observed a gray 2018 Toyota Tundra parked on a residential driveway. A computer check revealed that the listed vehicle had been reported stolen. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, OPD detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence.
Officers made contact with two subjects at the residence, identified as Howell and Ellenburg. Howell was found to be in possession of a black Toyota Tundra key belonging to the stolen vehicle. Ellenburg was found to be in possession of bag of methamphetamine and meth pipe. Both subjects were charged and arrested accordingly.
