Odessa Police Make Arrest in Connection to Albertsons Robbery Investigation

Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection to a robbery that occurred at Albertsons on Monday afternoon. Thomas Croft, date of birth 07/02/1988, has been charged with Robbery "2nd Degree Felony".
On November 27, 2017 at approximately 1213 hours, Odessa Police responded to 1350 East 8th Street (Albertsons) in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, made contact with an Albertsons employee and a male subject, identified as Croft. Investigation revealed that Croft concealed merchandise inside of his jacket and exited the store without making any attempt to pay.
When an Albertsons employee confronted Croft about the stolen merchandise, Croft pushed the employee and grabbed the employee's hand while twisting his finger. The Albertsons employee sustained injuries on his knuckle, finger and left forearm as a result of the assault. Officers reviewed surveillance video, which confirmed the employee's account of the incident.
Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Croft was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
