A longstanding tradition meant to show our officers we have their back and support them! Today, begins National Police Week and it will continue until Saturday, May 21st.
It’s also a time to honor the memory of law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving their communities.
You can also join in on paying tribute. We would like to encourage everyone to replace their porch lights with blue bulbs now through Saturday.
Here’s some background on this special week: In 1962, President Kennedy issued the first proclamation for Peace Officers Memorial Day and National Police Week to remember and honor law enforcement officers for their service and sacrifices.
