[ARCHIVED] 2nd COVID-19 Testing Site Opening

The City of Odessa will have a partnership with DOCS Health to continue the mitigation of COVID-19 in our community. This will be the second COVID-19 testing site set up by the city with no out-of-pocket cost. A special thanks to The University of Texas Permian Basin for providing the testing space and continuing to partner with the City of Odessa.

The first date of operation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022. Hours will be Monday thru Sunday from 9am-6pm. From January 13-16, the location will only have PCR tests available. On Monday January 17, the site will have both PCR tests and rapid antigen tests available. It will be a drive-through testing location, no appointments needed, however, online registration is available. Testing is subject to daily availability of material.

PCR test results are expected within 2-3 days in most cases and rapid test results will be a 15-20-minute wait at the site or you can receive your results via text message. Registration can be done at DOCSHealthTesting.com or you can register by texting DOCSTX to 41411. Health insurance information will be requested if available.

The testing site location will at the UTPB community sports fields parking lot located at 191 and Loop 338. The entrance will be located on the 191 access road (42nd street) and exit will be on Loop 338. Please follow all staff member directions at the site for a safe and efficient process.

If you have any questions or need additional information, Asst. Fire Chief Joey White and Assistant City Manager Phillip J. Urrutia will be available for interviews upon request.

La ciudad de Odessa tendrá una asociación con DOCS Health para continuar la mitigación de COVID-19 en nuestra comunidad. Este será el segundo sitio de pruebas de COVID-19 establecido por la ciudad y sin costo. Un agradecimiento especial a la Universidad de Texas Permian Basin por proporcionar el espacio de pruebas y continuar la asociación con la ciudad de Odessa.

La primera fecha de operación será el jueves 13 de enero de 2022. El horario será de lunes a domingo de 9am a 6pm. Del 13 al 16 de enero, el lugar sólo tendrá pruebas de PCR disponibles. El lunes 17 de enero, el sitio tendrá tanto las pruebas de PCR como las pruebas rápidas de antígeno disponibles. Será un lugar de pruebas por automóvil, sin necesidad de citas, sin embargo, el registrarse en línea estára disponible. Las pruebas están sujetas a la disponibilidad diaria de material.

Los resultados de las pruebas PCR se esperan en 2-3 días en la mayoría de los casos y los resultados de las pruebas rápidas serán una espera de 15-20 minutos en el sitio o puede recibir sus resultados a través de mensajes de texto.
