First, meet Corporal Joe Galindo Junior (pictured in the center). He's been with OPD for more than 17 years and works in the K9/SWAT Units. He's fluent in Spanish.
Then, there are his two sons. Corporal Joe Galindo (pictured to the left) is on SWAT and has worked for OPD for five years. He actually started in our Animal Control Unit and worked there two years before becoming an officer.
There's also Roman Galindo (pictured to the right) who works in OPD's Animal Control. He’s been with the City of Odessa for more than two and a half years. He started with the Street Department and then transferred to the Utilities Department, and is now with Animal Control.
Joe Galindo Junior also has a 12-year-old son and we have a feeling there's a good chance he could join OPD when he gets older.
Here's another fun fact about the Galindo family. They're related to the Limon brothers who were recently featured on our social media. They're going through OPD's Police Academy together.
It's quite the family tree at OPD. We are proud of the Galindo's for their service! Thank you.
