Odessa Police arrested a man in connection to a robbery and aggravated assault that happened last night in southwest Odessa. Jesus Antonio Perez, 22-years-old, was arrested for Robbery “2nd Degree Felony”, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Family Violence) “2nd Degree Felony”, and for three felony warrants.
On August 12, 2021 at around 6:30 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Dwayne. When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old with multiple injuries to his face and arms. The investigation revealed that the teen victim had been robbed by Perez who fled the scene.
Officers then learned that Perez had barricaded himself inside of a home in the 1000 block of Dwayne. After a brief standoff, Perez was arrested. The investigation revealed that Perez had three outstanding felony warrants and that Perez had also threatened to kill his 50-year-old mother with a knife.
