Azreal Martinez, the owner of Prestige Barber School, wanted to help young barbers gain confidence in their skills to be more comfortable joining the workforce. He joked that he had started an unofficial school when he showed people at his barbershop how they could improve. Azreal talked about God blessing him with this gift and felt it was time to pass down his skills.
He shared that when he was around 17, he realized he was getting in trouble and wanted to create a new path.
'I felt blessed to find an escape."
While Azreal says there were road bumps when opening his barber school, he couldn't be happier that it's now open. He had been working on it for over a year and officially opened the doors a few weeks ago.
