Keith's Hamburger Station is a staple in our wonderful city. It has been here for 42 years!
Keith Johnson, the owner of Keith's Hamburger Station, talked about their struggle when they opened in 1982.
"Six
months after we opened, a huge oil bust happened, and we had to figure out how to cut costs."
Despite the hardship he saw the positive, that helped him plan for the future. Keith is originally from Brownwood, but the restaurant business brought him to Odessa. After college, he worked in the oilfield, was recently married, and wanted to be able to spend more time with his family. His wife's family is in the restaurant business, and when they heard a place was ready to rent, they jumped at it!
Keith is proud that the food is made fresh and never frozen! He also talked about the importance of giving back to our community.
"It's something that every business should do. They support you; it's time we support them."
He sponsors little league teams and gives back to schools.
