[ARCHIVED] The Yoked Factory

Toby and Kristy Hernandez

Toby and Kristy HernandezThe name itself is pretty catchy!  They also once called themselves the Endorphin Chasers. Toby and Kristy Hernandez, who are husband and wife, own “The Yoked Factory.” They gave us the background on how it all got started.
“When I was in college, I took a motivational psychology class and the topic was Endorphins and their roles in our motives.  Specifically, working out,” said Toby.
What does it mean if someone is “yoked?” It’s having well-defined muscles.
The Hernandez duo says they had always joked around about who is more “yoked,” him or her? The name just stuck. They both are in great shape, but make clear it takes hard work.  There was a time Toby posted about waking up at 2:50 am to workout!  That takes lots of dedication.

Toby and Kristy have been together for 12 years and met when they were in high school. He was just 14 and she was 15. She sat next to him in class and the rest is history. They also have two girls.
What do they love most about our wonderful city?  The people!  They says it’s a STRONG COMMUNITY!
