Rip Halbaedier

We’ve told you, residents may notice a bleach or chlorine like smell in the water, but it is nothing to be concerned about. The change in disinfections will be implemented as a proactive maintenance measure in our distribution system.
We got more insight from Rip Halbaedier, the City of Odessa’s Water Treatment Plant Supervisor. He’s worked for the city for 29 years.
He says they work around the clock and that our water is tested 12 times a day, 365 days a year. In fact, Rip says there are 5 different tests done.
You can tell he’s passionate about what he does! Thanks Rip for your hard work.
