It was an emotional day for many of us. This morning, the Texas Police Memorial Service was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, where many of our local heroes rest.
We honor the fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of our community and its people. They may no longer be with us, but they will always be in our hearts and live on through our memory.
Losing a family member can leave an impact. To those who have lost a loved one in the line of duty: "All of us keep you in our prayers and you have a special place in our hearts. You are family," Odessa Police Department Chief Gerke says.
