The City of Odessa Incident Command is working with the local hospitals for the release of the COVID-19 vaccine, please note that the vaccines are still limited in number as allocations come from the State of Texas.
Medical Center Hospital:
The Incident Command is working with MCH for vaccine plans for the community.
Odessa Regional Medical Center:
The COVID-19 Vaccine is available at the ORMC Community Health Center located at 520 E. 6th Street.
The hours of operation will be as follows:
Monday: 8 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday: 8 am - 5:30 pm
Wednesday: 7 am - 7 pm
Thursday: 7 am - 7 pm
Friday: 7 am - 7 pm
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed
You do NOT need to schedule your FIRST covid-19 vaccination injection … you may walk-in. Your SECOND injection will be scheduled.
We are currently in phase 1b of the vaccine rollout. This means we will vaccinate the following groups:
Texas Phase 1B Vaccine Priorities:
· People 65 years of age and older
· People 16 years of age and older with at least one chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19, such as, but not limited to:
o Cancer
o Chronic kidney disease
o COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
o Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathy
o Solid organ transplantation
o Obesity and severe obesity (body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher)
o Pregnancy
o Sickle cell disease
o Type 2 diabetes mellitus
