Due to the extreme heat, the City of Odessa will open and operate a cooling center.
Woodson Park Cooling Center, located at 1120 E. Murphy St., will operate Tuesday, July 12th until Thursday, July 14th from 12:00 noon-8:00 pm. The cooling center dates may be extended, if temperatures and demand warrant it.
For those with COVID concerns: If you have compromised immunity, or live with someone who does, we encourage you to wear a mask and maintain social distance.
Security, water and access to restrooms will be available to help residents during this extreme weather.
