TYPE OF INCIDENT: Murder “1st Degree Felony”

SUMMARY:
Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection to a murder that occurred early this morning in North Odessa. Joseph Grondahl, 31, has been charged with Murder “1st Degree Felony”. Natalee Lassiter, 38, has been charged with Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution “3rd Degree Felony”.
On December 13, 2020 at approximately 0028 hours, Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the 4300 block of North Dixie in reference to a stabbing victim. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, identified as a 25-year-old male. The victim was transported to a local hospital but later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
Investigation revealed that after a disturbance had occurred, a Joseph Grondahl stabbed the 25-year-old male and fled the scene before police arrived. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, a murder warrant was obtained for Grondahl and a hindering apprehension or prosecution warrant was obtained for Lassiter.
Both Grondahl and Lassiter were charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. The investigation continues.
