Recycling Center Changes
The City of Odessa TRULY CARES about recycling. However, the current model doesn’t make sense financially. We haven’t done away with it. We just can’t continue to fund it the way it’s set up.
To give you a perspective, it’s costing YOU between $260,000 to $300,000 a year to operate the recycling center and haul our recyclables to a facility in Midland. That’s ONLY PART OF YOUR COST. It costs YOU even more money due to other recycling issues and also takes drivers away from serving your containers.
Our goal is to make the program successful for our citizens and employees!
Let us all work together and “Keep Odessa Beautiful!”
Recycling materials can be taken to Butts Recycling, located at 26 W. Industrial Loop in Midland. You can also contact them at (432) 687-0088.
