Household Hazardous Waste Facility

Many of the products used in homes contain hazardous chemicals that can pose a threat to the environment and our health. Take precaution while handling it, keep it away from children and find out the proper method of disposing of it by visiting the Household Hazardous Waste Facility.

Due to our annual tree limb mulching, the tree limb drop off site at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed on December 17, 2020 through Dec 22,2020. Please visit 814 W. 42nd Street or call 432-368-3546 if you have further questions.

Tree Limb Disposal

Residents can drop off their tree limbs at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility free of charge. 

Mulch Pick-Up Program

Free mulch is available at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. A small quantity of mulch can be picked up in front of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, adjacent to the Recycling Center.

If you bring a truck or a sedan, please also bring bags/container for mulch, gloves, and shovel. Only trucks with trailers will be loaded by city personnel. All others will be self-serviced.

To obtain large amounts of mulch please call the Solid Waste Department to set up an appointment. For larger quantities of mulch, please bring a trailer.
