
TRAINING DIVISION
The Training Division is comprised of
Training/Battalion Chief David Parker and EMS
Coordinator/Captain Glen Hogue. The Training Division provides
monthly Fire and EMS CE for 156 paid personnel. The Training
Division also provides quarterly Hazmat CE for 48 Hazmat
Technicians and any additional outside training opportunities
for specific needs within the Department.
Facilities
The Odessa Fire Department training
facility is located at 3000 S. Dixie.
It includes a classroom, drill tower, smokehouse, and
equipment for simulated propane storage fires. It also has the
required facilities for simulated extrication and confined space
rescue.

–Training and tracking of
C.E. is provided for all members
of the department.

Testing
–The
Training Division oversees and provides all testing for
promotion, probation, and new hires.

ISO
–The
Training Division oversees the collection and documentation of
fire and technical rescue training hours to meet ISO
recommendations.
