This page is intended as a guide and for informational purposes only. All the data, photographs and information here was gathered from several sources. The links to the plants where chosen based on the richness of information and photos provided by the linked site, thus giving you additional information regarding the plant you are considering. NOTE that some of the links on this page take you to sites outside the City of Odessa, and contain extensive information on these and many other plants. How to use this chart:

Exp.= Exposure. These are the Exposure factors and icons that represent that factor:

They range from Full Shade to Partial Shade to Full Sun. Any plant that has Shade and Full sun will also tolerate partial shade. However, an plant that has Full Sun and Partial shade will not tolerate full shade.

Full sun = Image ; Partial Shade = Image ; Full Shade = Image

The color shades are only for a general guide and do not constitute the actual color of the plant.

These are the size factors and icons that represent that factor:

Small= <25ft Image; Medium= 25-50ft. Image; Large= >50ft Image

E/D = Type Plant. Deciduous plants shade leaves during winter, evergreens do not.
Image = Evergreen   Image  = Deciduous  Image = Annual  Image - Perennial N/A = Does not apply to this plant.

 

The words in the "Common Name" field that are in different color, hyperlink to an outside website that has additional information about the plant. Click on the name to get additional plant information. (Note: Most of those links take you to external sites that have no connection to the City of Odessa, except for the common interest of these plants.)
