Building Services provides operations and maintenance of all City owned buildings to ensure a safe working environment. This activity develops specifications needed for repair and maintenance and minor renovations of city owned/operated buildings, provides preventative maintenance for city owned/operated buildings, and responds to calls on a 24-hour basis to service the air conditioning/heating, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.

Building Services receives over 1700 work requests each year. Three hundred of the requests are classified as emergency and require overtime, if necessary. Service is provided for 508,582 square feet in 140 buildings owned and operated by the city.

Building Services also cleans over 6,000 square feet of graffiti each month in our community. Alvaro Rascon is our Graffiti Buster painter. Graffiti is either painted off or soda blasted.
