UPDATE: Watering Times Adjusted - August 20, 2011
|
|
NOTICE: DESIGNATED WATERING TIMES HAVE BEEN ADJUSTED. |
|
|
Landscape watering is restricted to only two (2) days a week, beginning Monday, August 1, 2011. |
|
|
All watering of outdoor landscaping, including hand watering, must be done during the designated time for your address. |
Low water pressure problems has resulted from the August 1 reduced watering times. To provide adequate water pressure for everyone in the community the designated watering times have been adjusted.
The following restrictions will continue to be enforced:
- Private vehicle washing (only commercial and mobile car washes are allowed)
- Washing down of sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, streets and gutters is prohibited
- Washing down of buildings is prohibited unless for fire protection
- All water leaks must be repaired within a reasonable time frame.
City leaders anticipate the continued cooperation of citizens with the mandatory restrictions will provide adequate water pressure for everyone in the community while continuing to allow citizens to maintain attractive lawns while conserving water for our community.
These restrictions are mandatory and are required to maintain an
adequate water supply for the health, safety and sanitation of our community. A
violation of the ordinance is
punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000.
* These restrictions do not apply to effluent water or well water.
However, the nuisance water ordinance applies to all water sources, including well and effluent water. The nuisance water ordinance prohibits water runoff more than fifty feet from the property line.
