Comanche Cross - Cyclocross Rules -2014

1. Any type of bicycle may be used, but must have a working brake for each wheel and bar ends or bar extensions must be plugged. Mountain, touring, or cyclocross bikes strongly suggested.

2. Racers will self-categorize based on guidelines, but may be moved up in category if sandbagging appears to be an issue. All categories (A, B, and C and Female/Male) may be combined into one start field, but will be scored separately for series awards. Extreme peer pressure will be encouraged to force proper self- categorization … the race director makes final decision.

3. The course is open for practice during the week and prior to the race start. No warming up on the course after a race is underway (*this applies only if multiple heats are conducted).

4.  Racers may be relegated to a lower finishing position or disqualified for dangerous riding, un-sportsman like conduct, or other flagrant violations. Ride safely, have fun, and be courteous to others!

5.  Races will take place in all weather conditions except for dangerous winds, lightening, or water/snow depths greater than 24 inches. The day of event race director will make decision related to event cancellation or postponement.

6.  Water and food may not be available at race venue – please bring your own. Alcohol is not allowed on Park grounds.

7.  Helmets must be worn AT ALL TIMES when on the bike – this includes warming up.

8.  Race numbers will be supplied – check with race officials for which side to pin numbers on. DO NOT PIN NUMBERS ON THE FRONT OR BACK OF YOUR JERSEY!

9.  Awards for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd will be presented for each category.  There may be raffle items available at each race.

10.  Each participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

11.  Each participant will be required to sign a RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY prior to racing.
