Residents Response to Water Restrictions
Odessans have done an excellent job of keeping the City’s water usage well below the 16 million gallons per day. Average use has been 12 million gallons per day.
But, temperatures are expected to soar above the century mark and residents are reminded to continue their conservation.
Swimming pools are allowed, and may be topped off with City water to replace normal water loss due to evaporation. Refills must be done during the two hour time period on the designated day.
Empty swimming pools may be filled with water not from the City supply. Proof the water came from an outside source must be presented and City personnel must be present at the time of the filling. Contact Community Development at 432.335.4820 to schedule an appointment.
