During the month of March Municipal Court is organizing a Warrant Roundup to resolve outstanding cases and clear warrants.
Anyone with a warrant is subject to arrest at any time and location, including his or her home, work or in public. To avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest, defendants are encouraged to voluntarily dispose of their cases.
Municipal Court is offering defendants an opportunity to save money if they voluntarily dispose of their case between March 1 and 16. During this amnesty period a $50 warrant fee will be waived if paid in full.
Cash, check, money order or credit card (MasterCard and Visa) payments are accepted online at trafficpayment.com or by calling 800-444-1187.Defendants can also appear in person at Odessa Municipal Court, 201 North Grant.
Court hours are:
- Monday and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Warrants will remain in effect until payment is received and posted by Municipal Court.
Warrants are issued a result of an individual’s failure to appear in person, or in writing, at the Odessa Municipal Court or failure to comply with a court order. Citations handled through the Odessa Municipal Court, and that could be part of the roundup, include traffic citations, parking tickets, code enforcement violations, failure to sterilize a pet adopted from the Odessa Animal Shelter, and other violations of the Odessa Municipal code or state law.
