Odessa Police Asking for Public’s Help with Aggravated Robbery Investigation
On 2-24-18 at approximately 2228 hours, Odessa Police responded to 4101 East 42nd Street (Genghis Grill) in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, officers made contact with two 17-year-old females, who advised that they had been robbed at gunpoint. Both victims advised that while they were talking in the parking lot, a white sedan pulled up next to them. The driver quickly exited the vehicle and demanded all of their money while pointing what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle at them.
The suspect fled the scene with the victims’ cash and checks and was last seen traveling northbound on Tanglewood in the listed vehicle. There were no reports of any injuries. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’9” and 150 pounds, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, and approximately 20 years of age. The suspect was occupying an older model white sedan with dealer tags, a black/spare front passenger tire, a sun roof and very light or no tint on all the windows.
