Odessa Police Make 4 Arrests in Connection to Robbery Investigation
Odessa Police arrested Fabian Campuzano DOB 1-29-93, Adela Ramos DOB 9-4-93, Martin Zuniga DOB 5-13-93, and Timothy Ramos DOB 5-8-89, for Robbery “Felony 2”. Campuzano was additionally charged with Evading Arrest “Class A Misdemeanor” and Ramos was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest “Class A Misdemeanor”. All four subjects were also charged with Public Intoxication “Class C Misdemeanor”.
On 2-9-18 at approximately 0156 hours, two OPD officers were working off-duty security at Half-Time Bar, located at 2120 Andrews Highway. Officers heard yelling in the parking lot and went outside to investigate further. Officers made contact with a 32-year-old female, who advised that several subjects had jumped her and stolen her purse. Witnesses pointed out two of the suspects, identified as Timothy Ramos and Adela Ramos.
When officers attempted to handcuff Timothy Ramos, he actively resisted arrest but was eventually placed into custody. Timothy Ramos was found to be in possession of the complainant’s car key. Two more suspects, later identified as Campuzano and Zuniga, were found hiding behind a white Dodge pickup. The complainant’s Louis Vuitton purse, which contained approximately $800, was located in the bed of the white Dodge pickup.
When officers attempted to handcuff Campuzano, he immediately evaded on foot but was later caught by an OPD officer in the west alley of the 1900 block of North Jackson. Investigation revealed that all four subjects assaulted the complainant during the commission of a theft. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, all four subjects were charged and arrested accordingly.
