Odessa Police Charge Man in Connection to Sexual Assault Investigation
Odessa Police arrested Reyes Molina Viscaino, date of birth 03/26/1981, on 1-24-18 at approximately 2225 hours for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child “1st Degree Felony”. On 12-6-17, a sexual assault involving a 10-year-old female was reported to the Odessa Police Department.
The complainant reported that the victim had been sexually assaulted by a known person, identified as Viscaino. A forensic interview was conducted and a sane exam was administered on the victim. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, OPD detectives obtained a warrant for Viscaino.
Odessa Police Make Arrest in Connection to Assault/Hit & Run Investigation
Odessa Police arrested Chauncey Rader, date of birth 10/28/1987, on 1-22-18 for Assault Family Violence with a Prior Conviction (Warrant) “3rd Degree Felony”, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Warrant) “State Jail Felony”, Leaving the Scene of an Accident “State Jail Felony”, and Driving While License Invalid “Class B Misdemeanor”.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of West University in reference to a hit and run crash. Investigation revealed that a gray Chevrolet truck had struck a white Hyundai sedan. The driver of the Chevrolet truck fled the scene and was last seen crossing the street and then northbound through an alley.
The hit and run suspect, later identified as Rader, was located and detained in the 2700 block of Bookins. Investigation revealed that Rader had two warrants, including a felony assault warrant. Back on 1-6-18, Odessa Police responded to the area of 45th and McKnight in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 28-year-old female, who advised that she had been assaulted by her common-law spouse, identified as Rader. Investigation revealed that after a disturbance occurred between both subjects, Rader pulled his common-law wife’s hair and shoulder, causing her to hit the pavement and sustain an injury.
Rader later body slammed his common-law wife twice onto the concrete sidewalk, causing several injuries all over her body. The complainant was transported to the Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury. Investigation revealed that Rader had a prior conviction for assault family violence and a warrant was obtained for him.
Odessa Police Charge Woman in Connection to Aggravated Assault Investigation
Odessa Police arrested Marilyn Johnson, date of birth 02/16/1967, on 1-24-18 at approximately 1820 hours for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Family Violence) “2nd Degree Felony”. Back on 12-30-17, Odessa Police responded to 1103 West University (Crestview Apartments) in reference to a stab victim.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the 58-year-old victim, who had sustained serious bodily injury on his face. Investigation revealed that after the victim got into an argument with his girlfriend, identified as Johnson, Johnson cut him in the face with a razor. Johnson fled the scene before police arrived.
The victim was transported to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, OPD detectives obtained an aggravated assault warrant for Johnson, who was eventually charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.
