Man with Cocaine Arrested after Assaulting Security Officer at Local Bar
Odessa Police arrested Eugenio Navarrete, date of birth 09/16/1972, on 1-14-18 at approximately 2139 hours for Assault on a Public Servant “3rd Degree Felony”, Possession of Cocaine “State Jail Felony”, and Public Intoxication “Class C Misdemeanor”. While an Officers responded to Halftime Grill & Cantina (2110 Andrews Highway) in reference to a fight in the patio area.
Officers made contact with the actor, identified as Navarrete, who had been fighting with the security officers. Investigation revealed that Navarette had punched one of the security officers in the face, causing bodily injury. Officers searched Navarette and discovered a bag of cocaine inside of his front right pocket. Navarette was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.
Off-Duty OPD Officer Finds Man with over 6 Grams of Cocaine in Local Bar
Odessa Police arrested Fernando Granados Valenzuela Jr., date of birth 03/21/1989, on 1-14-18 at approximately 0057 hours for Delivery of Cocaine “1st Degree Felony”. While an OPD officer was working security at Halftime Grill & Cantina (2120 Andrews Highway), they went into the restroom and observed a male subject holding a bag of cocaine.
The male subject, identified as Valenzuela, was found to be in possession of five more individually packaged bags of cocaine. The total weight of the cocaine was approximately 6.53 grams. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Valenzuela was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.
Woman Arrested after Following EZ Rider bus and Assaulting Wife with Knife
Odessa Police arrested Charlotte Yvette Jackson, date of birth 06/03/1968, on 1-16-18 at approximately 1247 hours for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Family Violence) “2nd Degree Felony”. Officers responded to 4101 East 42nd Street (Music City Mall) in reference to a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 36-year-old female and her wife, identified as Jackson. Investigation revealed that while both subjects were at the EZ Rider bus stop near the mall food court, Jackson pulled out a knife and threatened to cut the tires of the bus. After a brief struggle occurred between both subjects, Jackson cut her wife on her right hand with the knife, causing bodily injury.
Officers located the knife in the center console of Jackson’s vehicle. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Jackson was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. There were no reports of any other injuries.
