Woman Charged in Connection to Fail to Stop & Render Aid Investigation
Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection to a motorcycle crash that occurred yesterday afternoon in North Odessa. Sha’morree Antane Qnell Howard, date of birth 07/27/1996, has been charged with Fail to Stop and Render Aid “3rd Degree Felony”.
On January 8, 2018 at approximately 1617 hours, Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to 48th and Andrews Highway in reference to a major crash involving a motorcycle. Investigation revealed that a white Ford F-150 had struck a green Kawasaki motorcycle.
Witnesses reported that the driver of the Ford F-150 intentionally failed to stop and render reasonable assistance to the driver of the motorcycle. The driver of the Ford F-150 was last seen traveling eastbound on 48th Street.
The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Nathaniel Carlson, 21 years of age, was transported to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury. There were no reports of any other injuries.
Howard was later located and placed into custody. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Howard was charged and arrested accordingly.
The investigation continues.
