Odessa Police Make Arrest in Connection to Robbery & Stalking Investigation
Odessa Police arrested Carlos Enrique Talamantes, date of birth 10/05/1982, on 12-22-17 at approximately 2119 hours for Robbery “2nd Degree Felony” and Stalking “3rd Degree Felony”. On 12-20-17, Odessa Police responded to 4101 East 42nd Street (Music City Mall parking lot) in reference to a robbery.
Investigation revealed that a 39-year-old female had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, identified as Talamantes. The complainant advised that when she exited her 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Talamantes pinned her down and restrained her right arm before taking her cell phone. Surveillance footage confirmed the complainant’s account.
On 12-21-17, Odessa Police responded to the 300 block of Ann Street in reference to a stalking investigation. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the same 39-year-old complainant, who advised that Talamantes had “keyed” her Camaro and slashed all four tires belonging to the listed vehicle.
An independent witness observed Talamantes slash the tires. The complainant further advised that she had filed several police reports against Talamantes and that she was in fear for her life. OPD detectives obtained a robbery and stalking warrant for Talamantes, who was charged and arrested accordingly.
