Big Thank You to ORMC & MCHS

Post Date:07/14/2016
Mayor David Turner and City Council would like to express their appreciativeness to Odessa Regional and Medical Center hospitals for their support and cooperation in a joint effort to purchase 20 heart monitors/defibrillators for Odessa Fire Rescue Medics.

The City and hospitals agreed to split the more than $580 thousand dollar price tag of the 20 monitors equally. Each entity’s contribution of more than $195 thousand dollars is contributing to live saving equipment critical in emergencies.

“On behalf of all the men and women of the City of Odessa Fire Rescue, we want to express our gratitude for the continuing support and partnership with both MCHS and ORMC. The purchase of these state of the art cardiac monitors will assist us in providing the community with highest level of medical services. It is a real blessing to be part of a community that works in close harmony with one another”, OFR Chief Roger Boyd.

Delivery of the monitors is expected no later than September.
